Fire destroyed a camper trailer and claimed the life of a pet dog in Gassville late this morning. Cotter-Gassville Rural Fire Department Chief Jay Dukes says the 11:16 a.m. fire at 118 Georgia was reported by the owner, Pamela McDowell, who was staying the trailer while her nearby home was being renovated. Dukes says the fire, which is suspected to be electrical, completely destroyed the trailer which was totally engulfed when they arrived on the scene. No damage was done to nearby structures or property. Cotter-Gassville Rural firefighters were on the scene for only twenty minutes.
