The West Plains High School basketball team is one win away from a state tournament berth after their first game in the Class 4, District 9 Tournament at Bolivar. The top-seeded Lady Zizzers beat up on the host Lady Liberators 71-42. West Plains improves to 18-9 on the season, and they’ll face Logan-Rogersville on Saturday for the district title.
In high school baseball, Yellville-Summit had a rough outing. The Panthers fell to Valley Springs 16-1.
