Accident severely injures Bakersfield woman

    A one vehicle accident Tuesday has seriously injured 16-year-old Kaitlin Marsh of Bakersfield. According to a report from Missouri State Trooper M. Barron, the accident occurred at 8:44 in the evening on Route O, approximately seven miles west of Bakersfield. Marsh's vehicle was eastbound when it traveled off the right side of the road, impacted a fence and electrical pole, then overturned. She was transported by Air Evac to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. An update on her condition was not available at the time of this report.
    A passenger in the vehicle, 16-year-old Madison Evans of Caulfield, was reported to have been taken by private vehicle to Ozarks Medical Center with minor injuries.
    Both Marsh and Evans were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
