
For anyone associated with tourism in Arkansas, Little Rock is the place to be Monday and Tuesday for the 43rd Arkansas Governor’s Conference on Tourism. Joe David Rice, Director of Tourism in Arkansas, says the annual event is a great opportunity for those connected with tourism to share ideas and learn from each other.

Rice encourages anyone in the state with an interest in tourism to attend the conference, especially chamber of commerce executives; owners of hotels, marinas, restaurants and tourist attractions; tour operators and county and city government officials.

Jeff Pipkin, Executive Director at the Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce, says he and Tracy Jones from the chamber will be attending the Governor’s Conference.

This year’s conference kicks off Sunday night at the Robinson Convention Center that recently completed a $65 million dollar renovation. The Center overlooks the Broadway Bridge and the State Convention Center where Monday and Tuesday events will be held. Events will also be held at the Marriott Hotel next to the convention center.
