Value of Feb. new construction permits in Mtn. Home valued at over $1.6 millio

     Three building permits, including one for a 16 unit apartment complex, were issued by the City of Mountain Home during the month of February, according to Roberta Pack from the City of Mountain Home Building Inspection Department.

     A residential new construction permit for a 16 unit new apartment complex with a $1.3 million construction value was issued to Kevin Spellers for The Cottages at The Quarry LL. located at 2470 Rodeo Drive. A permit for construction of a new residential duplex with a construction value of $200,000 was issued to Hershberger Development for two three bedroom two bath units at 1302 Wilshire Court and Gracy Building and Design was issued a permit with a $138,000 construction value for a new residential property at 970 Tipton.

     A permit for a residential addition at 102 Parkview was issued to David Reingrt with a new construction value of $6,000.

     Two permits for construction of detached storage facilities were issued, one to Jeff and Krishna Schneidegger with a construction value of $2,000 for a 4,800 square foot storage building and another to Stephen Gutting for a 96 square foot shed with a construction value of $600.

     Three sign permits were issued including two for First Arkansas Bail bonds with a total construction value of $7,900 and another to Rent-A-Center with a construction value of $1,000.

     The total value of the 10 permits issued in February was over $1,655,500.

     Cost of all permits issued for the month of February totaled over $4,900 including $$3,775 for the actual cost for the building permits, $370 for electrical permits, $140 for mechanical permits and $640 for plumbing permits and $50 for a 30 day sales permit.

     The city building and inspection department handled 63 inspections during the month of February.
