
Saturday was a rough day for the Mountain Home High School softball team as they suffered a pair of losses in the Ozark Softball Classic at Harrison.
The Lady Bombers began the day by falling to Tuckerman 1-0. Maleigha Phan took the loss in the circle as she pitched a complete game, struck out four batters and gave up one base hit. Chassie Whitlow and Brandee Strain each provided the Mountain Home offense with a base hit.
The Lady Bombers wrapped up the tournament with an 18-1 loss to Paragould. Whitlow had a hit and scored Mountain Home's only run, and Maly Tabor and Morgan Pierski each added a hit.
Mammoth Spring's baseball team had mixed results as they competed in the Bay Classic. The Bears' first game ended in a 2-0 victory over Rector. Mammoth Spring was later edged out by Sloan-Hendrix 2-1.
