The Vada Sheid Community Development Center on the campus of Arkansas State University-Mountain Home will present a performance of Cinderella by the Russian National Ballet Theatre Wednesday evening at 7:00. Tickets are $40.45 for adults and $20.33 cents for students.

Prior to the show, a pair of dedication ceremonies will be held at the Sheid.

The first ceremony begins at six p.m. on the second floor as ASU-Mountain Home Chancellor Dr. Robin Myers recognizes a gift of 34 marble sculptures and pedestals by Jim McClure and Ron Switzer with the dedication of the 19th Century European Grand Tour Marble Gallery. The classical statues represent Greek and Roman historical figures, gods, goddesses and biblical characters.

Dr. Myers will move to the Coulter Performing Arts Center at 7:00 for the dedication of the U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonin Scalia Criminal Justice Institute at ASU-Mountain Home. The late Scalia was a guest lecturer and speaker at the university in April 2015. He was scheduled to return to Mountain Home last year, but he died beforehand that February. Nearly two months ago, the ASU Board of Trustees voted to name the Criminal Justice program on the Mountain Home campus in Scalia’s honor, and his son John will represent the family at the dedication ceremony.

Attendance of both dedications is limited to ticket holders for the Cinderella performance. For more information, contact Christy Keirn at 870-508-6109.
