
A Gainesville man, 27-year-old Matthew R. Dove, was arrested by Mountain Home Police Wednesday for simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms a felony charge, and possession of methamphetamine, ecstasy and drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the Baxter County Jail on a $5,000 bond and released the same day.
According to the arrest affidavit, a Mountain Home Police Officer observed a male subject slumped over behind the wheel at a local gas station that was parked at the gas pumps. The officer made contact with the driver, Dove. Upon opening the driver’s side door, the officer noticed a pistol in the door. When Dove exited the vehicle, the officer observed a broken glass meth pipe. Dove was placed in custody, and an inventory of the vehicle was performed and another meth pipe was found. Located in a backpack was a black case containing a white crystalline substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine. Also found were two plastic baggies, one containing a schedule IV drug and the other a schedule 1 drug.
Dove is scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court April 27th.
