The Baxter County Drug Court is coordinating Speak Up at the Park for Autism Speaks Saturday. The event is a fundraiser geared to bring awareness to the area for the organization. The fundraiser kicks off at 10 Saturday morning and concludes at 1 at Big Spring Park in Cotter.Sarah Teeter says Autism Speaks is an organization based in Florida. Through Saturday’s event organizers hope to build a foundation here for the group. Teeter says funds raised at the event will help local autistic children.
The Speak Up event is a grill out at the park and will include the sale of Autism Speaks bracelets, activities including a bounce house and face painting, along with food and drinks.
