Cleanup begins in Baxter County

With roads underwater and trees down, Baxter County Judge Mickey Pendergrass said late Saturday evening cleanup work will begin on Sunday morning.

Judge Pendergrass says the hardest hit portion of the county appears to be north of Hwy. 62/412 with widespread damage throughout the county.

He says the damage also includes culverts, some of which may be missing.

While numerous water rescues have been reported in surrounding counties, the judge was not aware of any in Baxter County.
