Kevin Kane/WireImageAlice Cooper will reunite with the three other surviving members of the original Alice Cooper Band during his concert in Nashville on Sunday, May 14. The shock rocker’s show that night at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center’s Andrew Jackson Hall will include a special mini set featuring his old band mates and fellow Rock & Roll Hall of Famers — bassist Dennis Dunaway, drummer Neal Smith, and guitarist Michael Bruce.
The performance will mark the only time Cooper is planning to reunite with Dunaway, Smith and Bruce during his current “Spend the Night with Alice Cooper” U.S. headlining tour, which is mapped out through a June 24 show in El Paso, Texas.
Dunaway, Smith and Bruce all have contributed to Cooper’s forthcoming studio album, which is expected to be released this summer. The record was produced by Alice’s longtime collaborator, Bob Ezrin.
“We’ve recorded much of my last album and my new one in Nashville and it’s such a great music town,” says Cooper. “With so many musician, songwriter and producer friends here, as well as great rock fans who come to our concerts, it’s special to be performing with Neal, Michael and Dennis in Nashville for them.”
After his current U.S. headlining trek winds down, Cooper will head to Europe for a summer tour leg running from early July to early August. He then will return to North American for his previously announced late-summer outing with Deep Purple and The Edgar Winter Band.
