Tracy Adams of Mountain Home, who is accused of stealing money from her longtime employer, entered a not guilty plea to the charges against her through her attorney, Jeremy Friend, during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.According to court records, Adams’ employer noticed a questionable transaction on his business account and began a probe of his own. He discovered Adams had allegedly used a business credit card to pay for a personal debt.

The 39-year-old Adams, who was the office manager at the business, was eventually fired from her job and the business owner contacted police in early March to report his findings.

Adams, who had direct access to many accounts belonging to the business and business owner, is alleged to have told investigators that she had been stealing from the business for a number of years. She was reported to have admitted to writing herself extra paychecks, making unauthorized ATM withdrawals as well as paying for personal online purchases with company credit cards.

Adams was ordered to reappear in Circuit Court on June 22nd.
