The Friends of the North Fork and White Rivers has a couple of events scheduled for the Memorial Day weekend. Both events will be Sunday in the Yellville area as the local organization holds its annual fundraiser.
The day will begin with the Crooked Creek Clean-Up. The Friends of the Rivers will take part in a half day float as they scour the banks for trash. Floaters provide their own flotation device and drinks for the trip. The Friends will provide trash bags and shuttles. The clean-up will begin at 12:30 at Kelly’s Access.
The day will wrap up at the Fred Berry Pavilion with an authentic crawfish boil. This will be the fundraising event as David Lemoine provides crawfish, sausage, potatoes and corn on the cob. Grilled hamburgers will be an option for anyone who doesn’t want to eat crawfish. Musical entertainment and a plein air painting by Duane Hada will also be scheduled.
