Life after cancer is more than just surviving. PCSH Coordinator Melissa Hudson says that our community’s National Cancer Survivors Day celebration is filed with joy, hope, camaraderie, and compassion. The group acknowledges our community’s cancer survivors, as well as, all of the contributions of their families, friends, and healthcare providers and raise awareness of the ongoing challenges faced by cancer survivors.
Anyone who is living with a history of cancer from the moment of diagnosis through the remainder of life is a cancer survivor. In the United States alone, there are more than 15.5 million people living with a cancer history.
Preregistration is required for this event. Call the PCSH at (870)508-2273 to register. Visit www.ncsd.org for more information on National Cancer Survivors Day.
