Local Cal Ripken teams win district titles

The Mountain Home 12 year olds breezed their way to winning the championship of the Cal Ripken Major/70 North District West Tournament at Clysta Willett Park. The 12s began the day as the top seed in bracket play. They shut out Springdale 12-0, and they later won the title game 12-0 over Pea Ridge. The 12 year olds will be in Springdale for the North Arkansas State Tournament beginning June 30th.

The Mountain Home Drillers won the 11 year old district tournament at Clysta Willett Park.  The Drillers went 2-0 in pool play be defeating Rogers 8-2 and Bentonville 16-3.
In bracket play, the team defeated Rogers 12-2 and Carroll County 11-1.
The Mountain Home 11 year old team will play in the North Arkansas State Tournament at Batesville June 30th.

The Mountain Home Yetis were crowned champions of the Cal Ripken Eight-Year-Old North District West Tournament Sunday at Springdale. The Yetis began the day by winning their semifinal game over the Mountain Home Stars 12-2, and they stayed on the field and won the title game over the host team 11-9.

The Mountain Home Naturals also left Springdale with a trophy after winning the Cal Ripken Seven-Year-Old North District West Tournament. The finals ended with the Naturals beating Springdale 9-4.
