Cal Ripken state tournaments begin Friday

Baseball makes up the local Friday schedule.

Mountain Home begins hosting the Cal Ripken Ten-Year-Old North Arkansas State Tournament at Clysta Willett Park as all the pool games will be Friday. On the major field, the A’s and Tri-County get underway at ten a.m., the Bottoms meet Rogers at noon, the Pirates face Bentonville at 2:00, the Cowboys take on Jonesboro at 4:00, the Mountain Home Fury plays the Bottoms at 6:00, and Jonesboro will be paired with Bentonville. On the minor field, the Fury meet the Cowboys at 10:00, Springdale will be matched up with Evans at noon, the A’s face Blytheville at 2:00, Tri-County takes on Evans at 4:00, the Pirates play Rogers at 6:00, and Blytheville meets Springdale at 8:00.

Mountain Home will also be the host city for the Cal Ripken Eight-Year-Old Pitching Machine North Arkansas State Tournament as pool play begins at Keller Park. On Field One, Harrison and Bentonville Carlton get underway at 5:00, and the Mountain Home Stars face Springdale Bodenstein at 6:30. On Field Two, Northeast Arkansas takes on Bentonville Dunn at 5:00, the Mountain Home Yetis play Gravette, and the evening wraps up with Springdale Cooper and Siloam Springs at 8:00.
