MH woman makes it to the pros with the Memphis Grizzlies

For many athletes, the chance to make it to the pros is something they work for their entire lives. Not many make it but the dream has come true for a Mountain Home woman. Eighteen year old Kayli Strain has been selected as one of the 17 Grizz Girls, the dance and cheer team for the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies, for the 2017-18 season.

Hundreds of women were there when tryouts started over one week ago and Strain says it’s hard to believe a girl from a small town would have a chance to be selected to such a presigious team.

She says it was a strenuous couple of weeks but well worth it.

Kayli Strain will have to relocate to Memphis for the season and she plans on enrolling in college in January. She is the daughter of Tracy Strain of Mountain Home.
