Former Razorback headlines new roster for MH semi-pro hoops team

The Mountain Home Twin Lakers, a semi-pro basketball team based in Mountain Home, begins its second season Saturday night and fans will see a much different team compared to last year, including a former Arkansas Razorback. Marcus Britt, who played high school basketball at Forrest City, headlines a roster that features eight former college basketball players from schools such as Kansas and UALR.

Britt played for the Razorbacks and head coach John Pelfrey from 2007 to 2011. His senior season he averaged just over five points per game. He explains how he wound up playing for the Twin Lakers.

Britt, who is 29 and still lives in Forrest City, says basketball fans in the area need to come check out the Twin Lakers because they will be exciting to watch.

The Mountain Home Twin Lakers exhibition game Saturday night against the Arkansas Lightning begins at 7:00 at Bomber Gymnasium on the campus of Mountain Home High School. The regular season starts in August and runs through February.
