Planning is underway for the construction of a new nursing healthcare facility in Mountain Home that will combine the operations of Pine Lane Therapy and Living and Hiram Shaddox Geriatric Health and Rehabilitation.
The two entities are owned by Healthcare Solutions, LLC, with Reliance Health Care of Conway providing administrative services.
Reliance Health Care’s Director of Development Wes Holland says the new 140-bed facility, with modern amenities, will occupy the site where Pine Lane Therapy and Living now sits.
Listen:
Holland says earlier this month patients from Pine Lane were moved to Hiram Shaddox in order to begin the preparation for the demolition of the Pine Lane facility. He says evidence of the removal of Pine Lane should become evident in the next one to two months.
Meanwhile, Holland says design work continues for the new facility, a process that normally takes 12 to 14 months for a building of this size.

The decision on the name for the new facility has not been made. In addition, the future of the current Hiram Shaddox facility is still being discussed.
Eric Bell, Reliance General Counsel, says area residents should expect to see signage at both the construction site and in the Hiram Shaddox lobby that will provide an artist’s rendition of the view of the new facility.
Bell also noted all of the plans are subject to approval by the Arkansas Health Services Permit Agency, including the number of beds.
Reliance provides administrative services to a number of independently owned and managed nursing facilities in Arkansas and Missouri. In addition to Pine Lane and Hiram Shaddox, the list locally includes Care Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation and Gassville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Reliance has had a presence in the Twin Lakes Area since 2014.
