The Mountain Home 12-year-old baseball team picked its first victory in the Cal Ripken Major/70 World Series as they wrapped up group play in Branson. The local All-Stars edged out Minot, North Dakota, in a high-scoring game by a final of 14-13. Mountain Home finishes third in U.S. Group D with a record of 1-2, and they’ll begin bracket play Sunday evening against North Platte, Nebraska. The first pitch at St. Louis Field is scheduled for 5:30.
