The Baxter County Sheriffs Office will host an open house venue for the public on Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00. Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery says the event is something occasionally offered to allow members of the public to visit the facilities, converse with staff, and learn more about the Sheriff’s Department’s operations and goals.

Tours of the Detention Center will be given, and the public will be allowed to view and ask questions about any of the facilities and equipment the Sheriff’s Office uses.

Formal tours of the jail were given August 11th and Montgomery says they were a success.
