
Just days after the new field turf was debuted at Bomberfest, the Mountain Home High School athletic department is preparing for another new feature for Bomber Stadium. The family of Wilma Stockton and her late husband, Philip, has donated nearly $150,000 to the athletic department toward a new video scoreboard.
Wilma Stockton’s son Mike says the idea for the scoreboard came about as she was watching her grandson play football.

Mountain Home athletic director Mitch Huskey says he was surprised when the Stocktons brought the idea to his attention.

Huskey adds the total width of the scoreboard will be 32 feet. The size of the videoboard has yet to be determined.

Stockton adds another advantage of the new videoboard is it will give other students an opportunity to learn a new trade.

The athletic department is looking at possibly getting the scoreboard installed by the Homecoming game on October 13th.
