Joshua Dunn of Mountain Home pled guilty to being a felon in possession of firearms and a long string of traffic violations and was sentenced to four years in prison during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday. The 30-year-old Dunn was arrested in the early morning hours of March 25th after Mountain Home Police officers responded to a convenience store after being advised that a male, later identified as Dunn, had been passed out in his car at the gas pumps for about three hours.

According to the probable cause affidavit, when the officers made contact with Dunn, his speech was described as very incoherent. At one point, the officers asked Dunn to exit the vehicle, but he refused and even attempted to start the vehicle and leave the scene.

Officers deployed a taster and, after several failed attempts, were eventually able to get Dunn to comply. He was found to have drugs in a small plastic baggie and a used syringe was also located.
Two handguns were also found in the vehicle. Dunn is a convicted felon and it is illegal for him to have contact with weapons.
