
The Mountain Home High School volleyball team lost its 6A/5A-2 District opener Tuesday night at home to Batesville 3-0. The Lady Pioneers won by scores of 25-14, 25-12 and 25-18. Mountain Home falls to 2-2 overall and 0-1 in district play.
For Mountain Home, Maly Tabor had eight kills, Anna Taylor and Leah Jackson each had seven assists, Elaine Blackmon collected five digs.
Batesville won the J.V. match 3-0, winning by scores of 16-25, 25-21 and 15-8.
Paola Crim had 13 digs, Jackson had six kills and Grace Beckham added 11 assists.
Mountain Home will travel to Vilonia Thursday night.
