A Mountain Home man, 41-year-old Gary Edmond Crow, is facing a felony drug delivery charge after he was spotted riding his bicycle at Third and Main Streets by a Mountain Home Police officer Wednesday evening.

According to the arrest affidavit, the officer began pursing Crow, whom he believed to have an outstanding warrant. After making eye contact with the officer, Crow began pedaling faster, cutting between businesses as he tried to elude him. Two officers found Crow’s bicycle next to bushes behind U.S. Bank. Crow was found hiding in the bushes, where officers located a black magnetic box at his feet. Inside the box were two plastic baggies containing 14.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine. Crow denied any knowledge of the black box, the suspected methamphetamine or trying to elude officers.

The crystalline substance field tested positive for the properties of methamphetamine and will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for verification.

According to the affidavit, Crow has been charged with a felony count of delivery of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. His bond has been set at $5,000, and he is scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court in September.
