A Viola man, 54-year-old Glenn Edward Sharpe, has been arrested in connection with a burglary that occurred at a residence next door to the Viola City Hall.
Fulton County Sheriff Al Roork says Sharpe was arrested Tuesday and charged with residential burglary and criminal mischief, both felony offenses, as well as a misdemeanor charge. He has also been charged as a habitual offender, having previously been convicted of four or more felonies.
Sheriff Roork says the burglary involved the theft of a window air conditioner and damage to the interior of the house.
Sharpe is scheduled to appear in Fulton County Circuit Court on September 20 for arraignment on the charges.
