Summer Overmyer of Lakeview, who was arrested after being found naked in another person’s residence along Ravenwood Lane in Midway, was sentenced to six years in prison – with three to serve and three suspended – after pleading guilty to the charges against her in Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday. The 41-year-old Overmyer, who is also known as Summer Jones, was charged with breaking or entering, criminal mischief, trespassing, disorderly conduct and public intoxication. She was arrested January 23rd.

According to the probable cause affidavit in the case, the resident of the home and a friend had left to go to go to a store and when they returned, they heard someone inside. When the resident entered the home, she saw a nude Overmyer walking out of a bedroom while yelling and throwing objects.

The resident of the home and her friend were eventually able to get Overmyer outside. While she had been in the residence, Overmyer was reported to have destroyed various objects, including mirrors in both bedrooms. Electronics were also thrown in the floor and there was broken glass and other objects in the kitchen and hallway.

Overmyer fled the first residence and got into a pickup truck parked there. She got out of the truck and ran over to a neighbor’s house and jumped in his pickup truck where she stared honking the horn. She then jumped out of that truck and went to another residence further down the street.

The woman at that address told investigators she heard her dog barking, went outside and saw Overmyer walking up to her house. The resident said Overmyer asked for help and she let her in. When a Baxter County Deputy Sheriff arrived at the home, he found Overmyer, still nude, sitting on the couch. The resident provided clothing for Overmyer and she was arrested and taken to the county jail.

According to the affidavit, Overmyer told the deputy that she had consumed methamphetamine prior to the event.

Judge Gordon Webb approved a request that Overmyer be allowed to remain free on her present bond until September 8th to attend to the health-related needs of a family member. She is to report to the county jail at 4 p.m. on September 8th and will remain there until a bed opens in the state prison system.
