Hunters and anglers purchasing licenses in Arkansas will soon have a new option. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission reports it’s expected to introduce a new durable “hard card” to be available in addition to the standard paper big game tags.
AGFC Director Jeff Crow says the plastic card option for licenses has been in the planning stage since May. Earlier this year, the AGFC modified its Code of Regulatons to allow license holders to print their own duplicate copies of licenses or to carry a digital copy on their phones. The hard card is not required, but it’s being offered in addition to the other options.
The final design of the card will have to go through approval and testing. Once approved, it will be available through the AGFC’s licensing system at licensing.agfc.com. The card will arrive by mail within two to three weeks after the purchase.
