
When an officer arrived on the scene Brown was awake and had his vehicle in drive. The officer had Brown put the vehicle in park and asked him for his driving credentials. Brown was unable to provide a copy of his insurance. At that time he asked to be taken to the hospital.
Emergency dispatch informed the officer Brown’s license was suspended and he was a parolee with a search waiver on file. A search of the vehicle turned up a glass pipe and less than a gram of suspected methamphetamine.
Brown refused medical treatment as the ambulance arrived on scene. He was placed under arrest and has a $5,000 bond with a no hold bond for the parole violation.
