A Mountain Home man, 28-year-old Javis Curlee, who stood before Circuit Judge Gordon Webb last Thursday on felony drug charges was back in the Baxter County Detention Center Tuesday charged with new felony drug offenses.
Mountain Home Police Chief Carry Manuel says Curlee was arrested Tuesday evening following a traffic stop. When the police officer learned Curlee’s driver’s license was suspended, he placed him under arrest.
During a search of Curlee’s vehicle, officers located a substance believed to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Curlee was charged with driving while licenses suspended or revoked, possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, no proof of liability insurance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Information on the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office website indicates Curlee was booked into the jail at 6:54 Tuesday evening and was released 51 minutes later after posting a $2,500 bond. He is set to appear again in Baxter County Circuit Court later this month.
