As Tuesday marks the first day of the fair, the Education Building will have exhibitor registrations and and the entering of home economics, art and photography from 2:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. During that same time, the horticulture entrants will make their way to the horticulture room.
The carnival will be open from 5:00 to 9:30. Tuesday night’s gate admission between 5:00 and 8:00 will be one dollar for anyone age six or older. Throughout the remainder of the fair, the cost will be five dollars, and children under six can get in free all week. Tickets can be purchased at the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce, Integrity First Bank, First Security Bank, Magee-Thomas Pharmacy, Town and Country Discount Foods and in Gassville at Genuine Care Pharmacy. In addition, volunteers will sell advanced tickets Tuesday at school campuses in Mountain Home, Cotter, Norfork, Flippin and Calico Rock.
Entertainment will provided each evening Wednesday through Saturday on the outdoor stage. Friday’s special guest will be the band “Ricochet” as they take the stage from 7:30 to 9:00. Ricochet began its popular rise on the country music scene in the mid 1990s.
