Three vehicles were towed from the scene of an accident on the Sheid-Hopper Bypass Wednesday afternoon, with one driver transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center for possible injuries.

According to the report from the Mountain Home Police Department, the accident occurred at the intersection of the Bypass with Rossi Road about 4:45.

The report indicates the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by 66-year-old Dorothy Zorumski of Mountain Home, traveling west on the Bypass, was unable to avoid a collision with a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Ashley Eckley of Mountain Home. Eckley’s vehicle traveled across the Bypass on Rossi Road when the collision occurred.

The impact knocked the Eckley vehicle over on its driver’s side. When the Eckley vehicle rolled on its side, it struck a third vehicle driven by 31-year-old Michael Bartlett of Mountain Home waiting to pull from Rossi Road.

The report notes Zorumski was transported by ambulance to BRMC where a spokesperson said Thursday she is not listed as a patient. The other drivers, as well as a passenger in the Zorumski vehicle, 81-year-old George Zorumski, were not injured. The report did not indicate whether a 6-year-old passenger in the Bartlett vehicle sustained injuries.

All three vehicles were towed from the scene. According to the report, Eckley was at fault for failure to yield. The roadway was dry at the time of the accident, and the weather was clear.
