MHHS volleyball returns home for Thursday’s sports action

Football, volleyball, golf, tennis, softball and baseball make up the local Friday schedule.

The Mountain Home High School volleyball team returns to the Hangar as they continue 6A/5A-2 district play against Greenbrier. The junior varsity match begins at 4:30 followed by the varsity match.
Elsewhere, Cotter travels to Bergman, Flippin makes the trip to Marshall, Yellville-Summit hosts Clinton, and Izard County heads to Cave City.
Mountain Home’s three junior high teams will be on the road as they go up against Valley Springs. The seventh grade match starts at 4:30 followed by the eighth grade and freshmen matches.

Mountain Home’s high school golf teams will be in Harrison to take on the Goblins and Salem. Tee time is scheduled for two p.m. at Harrison Country Club.
In other high school golf, Valley Springs meets Berryville at Carroll County Country Club.

The Mountain Home tennis squads get back to conference play as they make a road trip to Jonesboro. Action gets underway at 4:00.

The Mountain Home freshmen football team continues its three-game home stand as they welcome Little Rock Hall to Bomber Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30.
In other junior high football, Yellville-Summit travels to Mountain View, Salem entertains Rector, Melbourne is home against Southside Batesville, Marshall makes the trip to Quitman, and Harrison hosts Lincoln.

In high school softball, Bakersfield heads to Van Buren, Gainesville entertains Willow Springs, and Dora is home against Salem, Missouri.

Dora’s baseball team will play back-to-back games to begin the Conway Fall Classic. The Falcons meet Stoutland at 4:00, and they’ll face the host Bears at 6:00.
In other fall baseball, Gainesville hosts Alton.
