The Baxter County Fair is in full swing Friday beginning with school day where school groups are admitted free from 10:00 until 2:00 and the evening highlight is the group Ricochet taking the outdoor stage at 7:30.
In between, the livestock skill-a-thon contest, commercial booths opening, a molasses cooking demonstration and the Bacchus Family Petting Zoo all begin Friday morning at 10:00.
The beef cattle grooming contest begins at 1:30 Friday afternoon, with the carnival opening at 5:00.
Admission to the fair is $5, with children under 6 admitted free.
