Hope for Horses annual festival Saturday

Hope for Horses will host their 3rd Annual Festival Saturday at the Marion County Fairgrounds in Summit. Admission, children’s games, activities and horse events are free. Vendors will be on hand with handmade artistic fare along with baby Nigerian goats for visitors to try their hand at milking. Two pick a bag prize methods will be given to visitors at the entrance gate and winners will be awarded prizes at the Hope for Horses prize booth located on the second floor of the community building. Musical guests of both Rio and David Dunn will provide entertainment.

Miss Charlie will bring games like turbo toilet, chicken bowling and the wooden spoons, for kids to play and win prizes. The Home Depot’s Kids Workshop will also be there teaching kids how to build a project for the day.

Rescue Ambassador horses, Chloe and Clyde, will be on hand as Jo Ann Joseph, Co-Founder of Hope for Horses, presents them. Fred Woehl will give Mustang demonstrations, Jo Ann and Amanda will lead guided live pony rides, and stick pony barrel racing will take place in the arena.
