A parole compliance visit for a Baxter County man, 35-year-old Keith Trivett, has led to his arrest, along with two others.

According to the arrest affidavits, an Arkansas Community Correction officer was conducting the visit Wednesday at a residence along Baxter County Road 267. Baxter County Sheriff’s officers assisting with the visit were taken to an area of the residence that had been occupied by a second parolee, 34-year-old Travis Langston of Briarcliff, and 25-year-old Samantha Weedman of Mountain Home.

In the room, officers located a glass pipe used for smoking methamphetamine, a butane torch and an empty plastic baggie containing a white crystalline residue that appeared to be methamphetamine. Also found was a glass smoking device used for smoking marijuana.

A nearby linen closet was protected by a locked padlock. Trivett opened the closet to reveal numerous smoking devices, syringes, spoons, syringe filters, and other items of drug paraphernalia for both methamphetamine and marijuana. Also found in the closet were approximately two grams of marijuana and two grams of methamphetamine.

Inside Trivett’s bedroom, officers found multiple propane torches and a spoon with the handle removed. The spoon contained residue indicating it had been used to prepare a controlled substance for injection.

Trivett was charged with felony counts of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, along with two misdemeanor counts. His bond was set at $5,000.

Langston and Weedman were both charged with one felony count of possession of drug paraphernalia, along with one misdemeanor count. In addition, Langston was charged with a parole violation. His bond was set at $3,209. Weedman’s bond was set at $1,500.

Trivett and Weedman are scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court later this month. Langston has a hold placed on him for other agencies.
