A two-vehicle accident claimed the lives of two Omaha residents who were on a motorcycle. According to the Arkansas State Police, 53-year-old Jeffrey Schneider and 52-year-old Laurie Schneider died Saturday as a result of their injuries from the accident in Carroll County.

Trooper Drew Widner reports Jeffrey Schneider was the driver of the motorcycle traveling westbound on Arkansas Highway 187 west of Beaver. The bike was negotiating a right-hand curve when it crossed into the eastbound lane. Jeffrey Schneider then overcorrected laying the bike on its right side, and its rear tire struck the front bumper of an eastbound vehicle causing the bike to rotate counter clockwise.

The weather condition was clear, and the road was dry in the 3:06 p.m. accident.
