A Newton County man, 69-year-old Andrew Liddel has been arrested and is facing first-degree murder charges for the shooting death of his wife, 70-year-old Annie Liddel. According to KY3 News, Sheriff Keith Slape released information Thursday and says Annie was found dead from a single gunshot wound. Her body was found in a home in the Basin Church area near Marble Falls Wednesday.The Harrison Daily Times reports Investigator Glenn Wheeler says the investigation continues and there is no ongoing danger to the public.
According to Wheeler the Basin Church area is in the northwest part of the County near Dogpatch, and the crime scene has a Marble Falls address.
The Newton County Sheriff’s Office has not issued a formal press release and no other information is available.
