
It was homecoming at Bomber Stadium Friday night but the home team did not have much to celebrate. Brad Haworth has the details on the Bombers’ loss to Marion.

Marion quarterback Jacob Green was a one-man wrecking crew accounting for all six of the Patriot’s touchdowns as they outscore the Bombers 41-20. Green threw four touchdown passes and ran for two more on the night.
The game started like it was going to be a shoot out with four touchdowns, two by each team, scored in the first 5:01 of the game. The Patriots got the scoring started after recovering an onside kick and Green hooked up with Joyrion Chase on a 13 yard touchdown pass.
Mountain Home answered when on the Bombers’ first play of the night, Isaac McKay went 71 yards and then two plays later he scored from five yards out.
Marion counterd with an eight yard T.D. pass from Green to Taylor Brown.
Mountain Home came back wtih a 12 yard scoring run by Junior Williams. Mountain Home would not score again in the first half and went into the lockeroom down 35-13 after Green threw touchdown passes to Taylor Brown and Slade Webb and ran in a score.
The Bombers would add their final score of the night on a one yard plunge by Williams.
Marion was able to win despite racking up 137 yards in penaltiss.
Marion fnished with 439 yards of total offense while Mountain Home finished wtih 291. Isaac McKay amassed 184 rushing yards on 25 carries.
The wins ups Marion’s record to 3-4 overall and 2-2 in the 6A East. Mountain Home falls to 0-7 and 0-4. They will travel to Little Rock Hall next Friday night.
