MH tennis athletes to wrap up state tournament Tuesday

Volleyball, tennis and basketball make up the local Tuesday schedule.

Three Mountain Home girls will compete in the final day of the Class 3A State Tennis Tournament at Burns Park in North Little Rock. Emily Heide will take part in the semifinals of the singles bracket, and Sydney Czanstkowski and Meagan Beck will play in the doubles semifinals.
The Class 3A State Tennis Tournament will also come to an end at Burns Park. Jonathan Hargrave of Valley Springs will take part in the semifinals of the boys’ singles bracket as he meets Campbell Coleman of Haas Hall Fayetteville.

The Mountain Home High School volleyball team continues postseason play on its home court. The Lady Bombers will compete in the semifinals of the 6A-East Conference Tournament as they will be paired with Marion.
Mountain Home comes into the match as the second-seeded team. The Lady Bombers began the touranment Saturday by beating Little Rock Hall. Marion is the number three seed. The Lady Patriots topped Searcy in the opening round Saturday.
The first set gets underway at 5 p.m.

In high school basketball, Norfork will begin hosting the Twin Rivers Classic. Jasper meets Nemo Vista for a doubleheader starting with the girls at 4:00, the host Lady Panthers face Valley Springs at 7:00, and the Valley Springs boys take on Bay at 8:30.
The Bad Boy Mowers Classic resumes at Izard County High School in Brockwell. Calico Rock meets Bradford for a doubleheader beginning with the girls at 3:30, and Mammoth Spring has back-to-back games against Shirley beginning at 5:50.
Elsewhere, Western Grove travels to Eureka Springs.
