With colder weather approaching the Twin Lakes Area, a local organization is looking to keep area residents warm during the winter months. The Needs of Many has scheduled the Warm Someone’s Heart event for November 5th as donations of new portable heaters, new electric blankets, new or gently used clean blankets and money will be gathered at local churches.
The Needs of Many’s Bette Gould and Carolyn Dinsmore were recent guests on the Talk of the Town on KTLO-FM 97.9. Gould says the organization began a couple of years ago with a lunch for the United Methodist Women.

From that point, the Needs of Many would hold its Take a Fan to Church event in the spring and Warm Someone’s Heart in the fall.
The items donated through this special day will be distributed through the Ozark Center of Hope and the Christian Clothing Exchange. Dinsmore says they will not accept used heaters or used electric blankets.
