The Mammoth Spring High School basketball teams wrapped up the week with a split at Kirby.
The Lady Bears defeated the Lady Trojans by a final of 70-51. Whitlee Layne led Mammoth Spring with 38 points, and Brianna Hocum added 13. The Lady Bears improve to 2-0 on the season.
Mammoth Spring was not as fortunate in the boys’ game as they fell to Kirby 63-55. The Bears were led by Sagen Godwin with 30 points.
Mammoth Spring returns home next Friday to meet Sloan-Hendrix.
