The Izard County High School basketball teams were able to sweep Greers Ferry West Side Saturday on the final day of the Bad Boy Mowers Classic.
The boys’ game ended with the Cougars pounding the Eagles 57-35. Justus Cooper led Izard County with 15 points, and Caleb Faulkner added 13. The Cougars remain undefeated in three games on the season.
Izard County also took the girls’ game over West Side 65-52. The Lady Cougars were led by Laney Rider, Harley Thomason and Abby Brashear with 18 points each. Izard County improves to 3-1 on the year.
