The Mountain Home High School marching band has taken part in a couple of events over the last week.
The band competed in the Championship on the Rock Saturday at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock against 26 other bands from Arkansas and Texas. Mountain Home finished third in its classification, and they were 11th overall with 74.2 points. The Mountain Home band was just 1/10 of a point shy of reaching the finals.
On Tuesday, Mountain Home was in the ASBOA Region 6 marching band assessment. The local band received a superior first division rating, and they qualify for the state event October 31st.
Mountain Home will host its marching band exhibition Thursday evening at 6:30 at Bomber Stadium. The junior high band will take the field to begin the evening, and the high school band will follow.
