One Mountain Home athlete competed in the final day of the Overall State Tennis Tournament Tuesday at Burns Park in North Little Rock. Emily Heide played in the semifinals of the girls’ singles bracket and fell to Thea Rice of Hot Springs Lakeside in straight sets 6-3 and 6-0. Rice went on to beat Taylor Shaw of Little Rock Christian to win the title.
