MH among local volleyball teams to continue state tourney Wednesday

Volleyball and basketball make up the local Wednesday schedule.

The Mountain Home High School volleyball team continues action in the Class 6A State Tournament at Greenwood. The Lady Bombers will be paired with Benton in the quarterfinals.
Mountain Home came into the tournament as the number three seed from the East. The Lady Bombers are 20-8 on the season after beating Sheridan in the opening round.
This will be the first match in the tournament for Benton. The Lady Panthers had a first round bye as the second-seeded team from the West.
Action gets underway at 4 p.m.

Bergman will take part in the Class 3A State Tournament at Hoxie. The Lady Panthers will go up against Harding Academy at 2:00.
Harrison will be in front of the home crowd as the Class 5A State Tournament continues with the quarterfinal round. The host Lady Goblins take on Paragould at 4:00.

In basketball, the Jasper Junior High Tournament gets back underway. In girls’ action, Cotter meets Kingston at 5:05, and Valley Springs faces Deer at 7:15. The Valley Springs boys will play Omaha at 8:20.
