
Under new business, Cotter Superintendent Vanessa Thomas-Jones will address the council regarding a possible shooting range for the school’s gun club. CPA Brain Hass will present the 2016 Water Audit report, Municipal League accidental death and dismemberment insurance will be considered and a workshop date will be set.
Cotter City Mayor Peggy Hammock will update the council regarding the Arkansas World War I Centennial Commemoration Committee and the Arkansas Forestry Commission’s initiative to place a memorial tree in each county before the centennial observance of the Great War concludes at the end of 2018.
Hammock will also review the 2016 Joint Legislative Audit Report and reiterate the 60-day grace period for property on Melba Avenue to comply with clean up is November 27th.
In other council news, alternative dates for the November council meeting will de considered as the regularly scheduled meeting time falls on a Holiday.
