The people arrested in the incident are familiar faces in the county jail. According to the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, they have amassed a combined total of 55 bookings stretching back over 17 years in one case.
According to probable cause affidavits filed in the various cases, the officers found Amelia Pittaway, Keith Trivitt, Sabrina Anderson and Denver Baumgardner at the residence. In addition, the officers reported finding methamphetamine and various items of drug paraphernalia while in the home.
Pittaway, who lists her address as the residence involved in the compliance visit, entered a not guilty plea to possessing methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstruction of governmental operations and was ordered to reappear in Circuit Court November 2nd.
Trivitt also has other active criminal cases on the Circuit Court docket.
During the time officers were in the residence, Pittaway attempted to pull a disappearing act by asking to go to the restroom. She was allowed to go into the restroom unescorted. After a few minutes, Pittaway stopped responding to the officers’ questions and continued to refuse to come out of the bathroom. Entry was made into the room and it was discovered that Pittaway had slipped through a hole in the wall. She was found a short time later hiding in the laundry room of the residence.
In addition, 31-year-old Denver Baumgardner of Norfork and 21-year-old Sabrina Anderson of rural Mountain Home were arrested. Investigators reported Baumgardner was occupying a spare room described as being set up as a den. The officers found an orange syringe cap in plain view. Inside the cap was a white crystalline substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
Baumgardner was charged with possession of methamphetamine. He entered a guilty plea and was sentenced to two years in prison.
Anderson pled guilty as well, admitting she was in possession of drug paraphernalia when the compliance visit was made. She was sentenced to five years probation.
Anderson was sentenced under provisions of Act 346, meaning that if she stays out of trouble during her probation period, she can apply to the courts to have her record sealed.
