A Flippin man, 33 year old Christopher Lynn Mann, was arrested Saturday morning on several charges after deputies were called to Baxter County Road 486, north of Mountain Home. He is currently incarcerated in the Baxter County Detention Center without bond on two misdemeanor warrants.According to Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery, two men had parked their truck in the area near Pigeon Creek and went hunting. When they returned they discovered Mann under the truck, drilling a hole into the gas tank and draining fuel. The men confronted Mann and held him at the scene while they called for a deputy and waited for him to arrive.

Deputy Mike Holland responded and arrested Mann on several charges. During a search of his vehicle, various articles of drug paraphernalia were found including a digital scale, glass pipe, and syringes commonly used in connection with methamphetamine use.

The items, as well as the drill, were seized and taken into evidence.

Mann was charged with felony possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanors of possession of an instrument of crime, first degree criminal mischief and theft of property.

The two outstanding warrants are for contempt of court and non-payment of fines.

Mann has a bond of $5,000 on the new charges and will appear in Baxter County Circuit Court to answer at a later date.
