Basketball and football make up the local Monday schedule.
In high school basketball, Flippin travels to Eros to meet Bruno-Pyatt, Viola makes the trip to Fox to face Rural Special, Mammoth Spring heads to Lynn to take on Hillcrest, Calico Rock travels to Greers Ferry to play West Side, Izard County hosts Bradford, and Western Grove entertains Alpena.
On the junior high level, Norfork makes the trip to Bergman, and Lead Hill is home against Jasper.
The Mountain Home basketball programs will have a preseason parent meeting for seventh through 12th grades. The girls’ meeting will be at 5:30 at the high school cafeteria, and the boys’ meeting is set for 6:30 at Bomber Gymnasium.
The Mountain Home eighth grade football team will be back in action as they welcome Greene County Tech to Bomber Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
